Collection at Inverness Accommodation

Your driver-guide will collect you from your accommodation in Inverness in the morning. After a quick introduction and outline of the day, you’ll head west into the Highlands.

As you leave the city behind, your guide will begin sharing the background of the region, from the old clan lands you’re traveling through to the stories and traditions that still shape life in the Highlands today.

Rogie Falls

Rogie Falls in Scotland surrounded by lush green forest and rocky cliffs with cascading water flowing through the gorge, a popular Scottish Highlands tourist attraction
Rogie Falls, Scotland

Your first stop is Rogie Falls, a peaceful woodland spot just outside Inverness.

There’s a short, easy walk through the trees to reach the falls, where you’ll see the Black Water River crashing through the gorge below. Suspension bridges give you incredible viewpoints, and if you’re visiting in late summer or autumn, you may even spot salmon leaping upstream.

Your driver-guide can explain why rivers like this were so crucial in Highland life — not just for nature, but for travel, settlement, and local legend.

Flexible, Friendly, and Accommodating My daughter and I just returned from eight fabulous days in Scotland with Braw. John picked us up from our hotel in Edinburgh and off we went in his super clean Mercedes Sprinter to the Isle of Mull, the Isle of Skye, Lochiver, Handa Island, and Inverness. John made sure we hit our goals: to see puffins in the wild and to feed a Hairy Coo. He and every member of his staff that we dealt with were flexible, friendly, and accommodating. We received swift responses from the minute we first inquired about Braw to text messages once we were in the midst of the trip. When the weather affected some of our plans, John came up with good alternatives, and when we spent long periods driving, he always kept us alert with knowledgeable stories about what we were seeing and funny jokes. We’d recommend Braw to anyone who wants to see Scotland!

Corrieshalloch Gorge

Corrieshalloch Gorge, Scotland

From Rogie Falls, you’ll continue deeper into the northwest Highlands toward one of the region’s most impressive natural sights. Corrieshalloch Gorge is a dramatic canyon carved by ancient glaciers, with sheer drops and a powerful waterfall cutting through the rock.

A short trail leads to viewing platforms and a Victorian suspension bridge, where you can look straight down into the depths of the gorge — it’s a real wow moment and one of the best scenic stops in the area.

As you explore, your guide will share how this landscape was shaped over thousands of years, along with stories of the people who once lived and traveled through these remote Highland areas.

Ullapool Harbor Town

Scenic view of Ullapool village by Loch Broom with boats in the harbour and surrounding mountains in the Scottish Highlands, Scotland
Ullapool, Scotland

Next, you’ll arrive in Ullapool, a charming fishing town on the shores of Loch Broom.

With its colorful waterfront, small shops, and relaxed atmosphere, Ullapool is a great place to stop for lunch and explore.

Ullapool also has a rich history as a fishing and trading port, and your driver-guide can point out small details you might otherwise miss — from the town’s planned layout to the role it played in Highland life after the Clearances.

You’ll have time to wander along the harbor, enjoy a café or seafood lunch, and take in the views across the water toward the surrounding mountains.

Marla and I would like to extend our sincere gratitude and appreciation for your company and particularly Alan, our tour guide. While the itinerary checked all the boxes for our trip through the Highlands, Alan was beyond spectacular. Whisking us away almost instantly after we cleared customs, he led us and helped us on an odyssey that neither of us will ever forget. He was not just a fun and gregarious individual. His depth of knowledge of the historical significance and meaning of everything we saw was truly wonderful. Helping us navigate to "our" one square foot of Glencoe was just above and beyond fun. I cannot think of anyone who would have gone to that extent for a whim. While all the accommodations were delightful, our night in Inverness was simply magical. We had a two room suite with incomparable comfort and we would STRONGLY recommend this hotel to your future guests. Although this portion of our visit was primarily aimed toward Marla's list of "must see" locales, I, unexpectedly, had a simply amazing time as well -- largely due to Alan's ability to hit highlights and avoid any feeling of rushing -- even when we were woefully behind schedule (due to our extended visits at some of the sites). I could write pages of accolades for this experience but suffice it to say that this tour and particularly Alan's company and participation were simply outstanding and fulfilled many of our visions and dreams of Scotland. So, thank you so very much for everything and give Alan an extra hug from us

Glen Ord Distillery

Your final stop is at Glen Ord Distillery, one of the Highlands’ best-known working distilleries and the home of The Singleton, produced here using traditional methods and local barley.

You’ll take part in a guided distillery tour, where you’ll learn how whisky is made from start to finish, from malting and mashing through to fermentation, distillation, and aging in oak casks.

This includes a tasting session, where you’ll sample a few different drams and learn what gives each one its flavor and character. Spend some time afterward browsing the distillery shop for exclusive bottles or gifts, or simply enjoy a coffee before the final drive back to Inverness.

Return to Inverness

After your distillery stop, you’ll travel back through the Highland countryside and arrive in Inverness in the early evening, with drop-off at your accommodation.
