I have spent a magical week in beautiful Scotland, of course, thanks to its unparalleled beauty and its kind, friendly and genuine people. My trip could have been a good one even if I just roamed around aimlessly to be honest. But, booking with Braw Scottish Tours has definitely been a game changer for the whole trip. I have to say that I’ve been so well taken care of from the moment I received a reply from Jack to my enquiry email, to the detailed planning of my week and the flexibility to change things around to choosing my guide. When John picked me up and we started our tour with the epic Stirling castle, I knew I made the right choice. John will tell you things that you don’t see in a documentary or read in a book. He will tell you stories and make you feel you are living in them. He’s such a wonderful story teller and a humorous, friendly and courteous guide. He is generous with his time, knowledge and is flexible with plans. I have laughed so much, met many local scottish people who showed me what a wonderful nation this is, learned quite a few scottish words, dined with Scots, raced sheep and chased highland cows and went up above the clouds in our highland expedition. From Glasgow to Stirling to Edinburgh to Inverness and the Queens View followed by Isle of Skye and the wonderful walk to the Niest lighthouse and then fort william, I have lived a wonderful dream for 7 days that was only made possible because of Braw Tours. Thank you John. You’re booked in August and this time I’m bringing the whole clan with me! Don’t think twice and book with Braw Scottish Tours if you’re planning to come to this beautiful country. It will be worth your while and your money. Thanks again and looking forward to coming back very soon ❤️

Stirling Castle

Stirling Castle in Scotland perched on a rocky hill surrounded by lush green trees under a bright blue sky, a popular historic tourist attraction and landmark for Scottish tours
Stirling Castle, Scotland

Your first stop is Stirling Castle, one of Scotland’s most impressive and historically important castles. Set high above the surrounding countryside, it was once a favored royal residence and a key stronghold in Scotland’s past.

Inside the castle, you’ll step into grand halls and richly restored rooms that bring royal life to life. Explore the Great Hall with its high timber roof, wander through the Royal Palace with its decorative stonework and carved details, and move between courtyards and battlements while enjoying wide views across the landscape below.

Falkirk Wheel

The Falkirk Wheel boat lift reflecting in the canal water on a sunny day in Falkirk, Scotland, a popular engineering landmark and tourist attraction
Falkirk, Scotland

From Stirling, you’ll continue to the Falkirk Wheel, a unique feat of modern engineering and the only rotating boat lift of its kind in the world. Your private guide will explain how the Wheel connects Scotland’s historic canals, and you can see it in action as it lifts boats between waterways!

You’ll have time to walk around the site, take photos, and enjoy the surrounding area.

The Kelpies

The Kelpies horse head sculptures in Falkirk, Scotland, towering over the canal with visitors walking around, a popular Scottish tourist attraction near The Helix Park.
The Kelpies, Scotland

Your final stop of the day is The Kelpies, two towering steel horse-head sculptures that have become one of Scotland’s most recognizable modern landmarks. Inspired by myth and Scotland’s industrial past, the sculptures are especially striking up close. Your private guide will lead you around the site, while hearing fascinating stories behind their creation.

My partner and I recently enjoyed a lovely tour with Alan, one of Braw Scottish Tours drivers. The car was lovely, Alan's knowledge of the Scottish countryside and his driving were excellent. He even recommended where to eat in Pitlochry. We enjoyed a very interesting Gin experience at Stirling Gin as part of the tour and the best thing about it all was the generous owners at Braw Scottish Tours had donated the tour as a prize which I bid for and bought at a charity event run by the Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice. We had a great day out supporting a great charity. Can't recommend them highly enough. Callum also went out of his way to accommodate us with a suitable date.

Return to Glasgow

After visiting the Kelpies, you’ll travel back to Glasgow in comfort, arriving back at your accommodation in the early evening.
